paragraph style

In a monotheistic religion such as Christianity, God is the ultimate deity, the savior of all mankind. If his teachings are followed by his disciples the reward is having eternal life. The Christian doctrine teaches the revealed and living word of God, which is written in the bible. In today’s society, I believe that the historical Buddha is not a god but someone, whose teachings are guidelines for how a person should live their life to achieve happiness if they are so inclined. Buddha is the person who founded the path to liberation or enlightenment. Buddha did not formulate any definitive creed. Instead, Buddha encouraged his followers to use a three pronged approach of meditation, moral restraint and philosophical reflection. This approach is used to achieve a higher level of understanding of the self that results in a rebirth or change in a positive direction without suffering (Cronze 2008).  From many literature and historical writings, Buddha did not consider himself a God. In this paper, I will expound the question of why Buddha is not a God.
2) Buddha should be the focus of this paragraph.
3) The purpose is to state my view point on the status of the Buddha disprove any claim being made that he should be looked at as a "God". To do so, I give historical context on the Buddha (continue on Wednesday)
