Open Letter
Equal pay has been a problem for decades. Women have been seen as the primary "bread winners". Now, in an era of increasing female education and higher graduation rates for women, unequal pay has become a problem. The stereotype that women should not work but stay home and cater to the needs of the husband, children and do housework has been a contributing factor to women being seen as less, or incapable of doing jobs outside of the home. It is up to us, as employees of jobs to speak out against and demand equal pay.
