1. This protest is on a global scale, therefore I would like to draw boundaries around protests held by this organization in the United States. That being said I am also going to open up this project to any protests held by this group since their formation. Examples of these protests could be the 1999 Seattle WTO (World Trade Organization) protests, or the 2000 Washington IMF (International Monetary Fund) protests.
2. The identity that these individuals share is opposition to large multi-national corporations. This is the key idea that binds this group together, therefore this identity is very significant to the protest movement and the individuals who are apart of it.
3. They participated by attending prominent events for corporations and groups such as the WTO and IMF to protest and speak out against social and economic injustices that these multi-national corporations get away with.
4. When looking at the protest group/movement, there are concerns that come to mind. First, I am worried most about the amount of materials available to use for research, seeing as this is a fairly recent protest movement, I am worried that the amount of scholarly sources available will not be sufficient to write a research paper of this length. I am also worried about connecting the identity with the protest, due to the fact that there is does not seem to be sub-groups within the protest. This makes it difficult to discern or identify a "group" that participated. I think the most difficult part of this project will be narrowing down what group and group identity I am focusing on, and then finding specific credible research to back up my claims.
