Stay-At-Home

Homeboy Mandela got some South African's together and they all agreed not to work one day. Take that Apartheid.

After some deliberation they decided the best day to do this would be Monday June 26th, 1950, talking about that three day weekend.

The African National Congress wanted to protest the Suppression of Communism Act, which had much less to do with communism and more to do with undermining the ANC and other anti-apartheid groups. They told the South African people it would be a Day of Mourning for all the lives lost to the movement.
