There was a movie about thjs guy. He is a Mexican American farmer who got people to unionize in order to make it more difficult for powerful people to step all over impoverished immigrant workers.
He has roots in the Yuma community, my home town. Immigrant worker rights, amnesty, and various other politics pertaining to Mexico are culturally relevant to the time and place we live in.
