Who: Feminists mostly or entirely. Anyone who likes letting it fly free.
What/When: This movement is about gender equality. Arguably the campaign began around 2014 with the release of Lina Esco's film of the same name.
Why: Conveniently there is a website for the campaign and the why is simply equality, empowerment, and freedom for everyone.

ReplyDeleteThe identity is women. Though the mission of the movement is "TO RAISE AWARENESS, AND AFFECT CHANGE, IN THE AREAS OF THE INEQUALITY OF MEN AND WOMEN THAT ARE STILL BEING EXPERIENCED IN THE WORLD TODAY."
Theoretically the identity would be everyone who seeks equality. I don't know why they had to say it in all CAPS. But I'm going with women.
Women have boobs and therefore nipples.
Women are connected to this protest because they have boobs
Boobs are the 'weapon' of the movement, if you will.
Boobs. Women. Weapons.
